There are numerous reasons to introduce additives into fuels, ranging from regulatory requirements to performance enhancements. Fuels such as gasoline, diesel fuel and jet fuel often lack properties that are needed for their intended appliation or to comply with regulations.
A wide range of additives are available that can provide the needed properties, and in some cases qualify the products for tax incentives. We routinely provide injection systems for:
- Automated loading rack
injection - proportional to flow.
- Manual or automated batch
blending.
- Automated injection -
inbound receipts of inbound marine vessels or pipelines.
No injection project is too small or
complicated.
Fabrication and Assembly - we routinely design
and fabricate skid mounted systems fully tested and ready for field
installation.
Field Services
Installation and Commissioning - we have
trained and experienced crews available to install and fully
commission system.
Calibration - to assure accurate additive
injection, the injection system needs to be periodically calibrated
and tested, this is a service that PMEC has extensive experience
handling.

types of systems:
Diesel Fuel
- Biodiesel
- Lubricity - recently mandated by many
states for diesel fuel to comply with industry wide ASTM
specifications
- Static Reducing Additives
- Diesel Fuel Conductivity - injected to address static safety concerns associated with ultra low sulfur diesel fuel
- Performance improvement additives - pour,
cloud and freeze point
- TX LED - systems designed to meet State of Texas Low Emmission Diesel requirements requirements
- Red Dye - mandated by the IRS
Jet Fuel
Gasoline
- Intake Valve Deposit (IVD) additives required for all gasoline sold in the United States.
- Ethanol - added to gasoline for tax
credits, compliance and pollution reduction
